The company was established in the year 2009, to set up power plants to generate electrical power by conventional and non-conventional methods. CPPPL having the distinction of setting up its first unit of installed capacity 2x7.5 MW power project named ‘Ranja-Ala-Dunadi Hydel Power Project’ in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir in 2012, becoming one of the first Independent Power Producers in the J&K State. The Project has annual generation capacity of 76.17 MU.
